All our swimsuits are menstrual, yet it's impossible to tell them apart from a regular swimsuit.
The only difference is that the bottom contains a tech core designed to meet the needs of girls and women who want to swim even during their period.
Our absorbent tech core for menstrual swimsuits features a combination of very thin protections that do not swell in water. It includes three layers, each highly effective:
#1 Drainage
#2 Absorbent
#3 Waterproof
#1 The first layer, in contact with the intimate areas, is an Oeko-Tex® Standard 100 certified and antibacterial fabric, designed to respect the women's body as much as possible.
#2 The second layer, the absorbent one, is made from 95% GOTS certified organic cotton + 5% elastane. The dye and finished fabric are Oeko-Tex certified.
#3 The third layer is the waterproof membrane that holds the blood and prevents leaks or stains. It is made from polyurethane laminated onto recycled polyester, also Oeko-Tex certified.
These can be worn alone for light flows, at the beginning or end of the cycle (since we're never really sure when our period starts or if it's truly over…) or in combination with other protection (cup, organic tampon) to avoid leaks or stains.
How to clean and care for your menstrual swimsuit or surfsuit?

#1 Rinsing
First, we recommend rinsing your swimsuit or surfsuit thoroughly with cold, clear water. This will help remove menstrual flow and also get rid of salt, sand, or chlorine.
#2 Washing
In the second step, we recommend washing your swimsuit or surfsuit by hand. However, you can occasionally wash it in the machine on a delicate cycle at 30°C in a laundry bag. No fabric softener!
#3 Drying
Definitely no tumble drying! You can either let it dry flat or simply hang it to air dry.
